On February 11th, the Sparkman Indoor Percussion Ensemble will travel to Prattville HS in Prattville, Alabama to compete in the Flams and Flags Winterguard and Percussion Contest.

Monday, February 6^th

 

• Indoor Percussion Rehearsal 5:00-8:00 (students in full uniform)
• Pit Crew arrive at 7:00 for logistics briefing/run-throughs

 

Friday, February 10^th

 

• 3:30-6:30 Uniform dress rehearsal/load truck (possibly go a bit longer)
• Truck is picked up from Ryder in Madison by 4:00 pm, and at S9GS by 5:00 pm
• Pit Crew arrive at 5:30 for logistics run-through
• 6:30 or 6:45 load truck

Saturday, February 11^th

 

• 7:15 am Student/chaperone/driver call time (you may eat on bus)
• 7:45 am Depart for Prattville HS
• 11:00 am ETA Prattville HS
• 11:05 am Register/Restroom/Unload truck in parking lot
• 11:30 am Eat at concessions (optional)
• 12:00 pm Parking-lot warm-up begins
• 1:10 pm Indoor warm-up begins
• 1:28 pm At gate
• 1:43 pm Perform
• 2:00 pm Re-load truck
• 2:28 pm Awards, FULL RETREAT (all in uniform)
• 3:45 pm Attend Scott Johnson Clinic in PHS Performing Arts Center
• 4:45 pm Load Busses
• 5:00 pm Depart for Dinner at fast food restaurants in Prattville
• 6:30 pm Depart restaurant for S9GS
• 9:45 pm ETA S9GS/everyone unloads truck

*Students should bring cash with them to eat with.

*After awards, if a student wishes to ride home with their parents, please see Mr. Albert and provide him with a signed note before you leave.

 

Full uniform = top, black band bibbers, black socks, black marching band shoes.

Please bring SHS Drumline/Front Ensemble hoodie to wear outside.
