Welcome to the Sparkman High School Band Website, home of the Marching Senators. Sparkman High School is located in Harvest, Alabama just outside the city of Huntsville.
The mission of the Sparkman High School Band is to foster character development in students using music through performance as the tool to build honorable and productive citizens.
Spring Concert 2012
The Sparkman High School Band will perform the 2012 Spring Concert this Thursday, May 17, at the Columbia High School Auditorium. Performing will be the Sparkman Jazz Band, Concert Percussion Ensemble, 9th Grade Band, Symphonic II Band and the Symphonic I Band.
Color Guard Audition Results 2012
We would like to thank all of the students that participated in this year's guard clinics and auditions. We have now completed evaluating the prospective students.
Band Booster Scholarship
The Sparkman High School Band Boosters have established two Band Booster Scholarships to be awarded to Senior Sparkman High School Band students who plan to continue their Post-Graduation Education. The Boosters feel that it is important to recognize those students who have excel in academically in school, recognize and reward them for their accomplishments throughout their high school experience.
Drum Major Auditions
Drum major auditions will be held on May 11, 2012 May 23, 2012 in the high school band room. Any student that would like to audition for drum major should submit the proper application by May 3, 2012 in Mr. Raney's office. (Auditions were posponed for the Liaw funeral)
2012 Guard Auditions
The Sparkman High School Guard will be holding their annual Audition Clinics this April 30 - May 3 in the Sparkman 9th Grade Cafeteria from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Memory Books 2012
Memory books are a gift we give to each student in the band to show them how much we appreciate all the hard work and dedication they have given each year. They will be filled with photo memories for them to cherish, notes of encouragement and a place where they can have their friends write special notes.
Spring Trip Medication Information
Students traveling on this year's spring trip that need to take medication during the trip should fill out the appropriate forms located in our download section of the website.
