As many of you are aware, this time of year brings illness that may be spread between students as well as lingering with a student.  Studies show cleaning your instrument has a great effect on student illness and I would like to encourage students to consider the following information.

Important Winter Guard Meeting

There will be a very important parent meeting on Tuesday, November 29th at 6:00 p.m. in the high school band room.  We will be discussing the upcoming Winter Guard season. Payment for uniforms ($98) will also be taken.

2011 Winter Concert

The Sparkman High School Band will hold their 2011 Winter Concert this Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. in the Sparkman High School Gym.  This concert is free of charge and will feature performances from the Winter Guard, Indoor Percussion, and both Concert Bands.  We will also attempt to provide a live streaming video of this concert on our website.

Spring Trip 2012

The results from the interest sheets are in and the spring trip to Orlando, Florida is "A GO".  Brochures will be handed out today that contain the trip details and payment slips.

Fruit Pickup Instructions

Fruit will be available for pickup tomorrow at the Sparkman 9th Grade School on our practice field.  Please adhere to the following instructions when picking up fruit.

UAH Honor Wind Ensemble

Congratulations to the Sparkman High School students who were selected for the 2011 UAH Wind Ensemble Honor Band.  This even will host a series of free concerts at the Randolph Thurber Arts Center over the next three nights.
